![]() UL only certifies the fire rating and no gun safe has ever passed the test as it includes a 30 foot drop after the fire and the way gun safes are constructed does not allow them to survive. It claims to have UL rated fireboard however this is not a real thing so I’m not even sure why they are claiming that. When it comes to fire, the Winchester Legacy 44 gun safe is fire rated for 2.5 hours at 1400 degrees. Overall, this is a good quality gun safe for valuables totaling under $50,000. The real differences start when you have material like concrete in the walls and door. In my opinion, there isn’t a huge difference between a 10 gauge steel body and 1/4″ plate door compared to a 12 gauge door and body. While this is not as strong as higher end safes like the American Security BFX gun safes, it does retain the same insurance certification. All of these security features are more than the basic standard and minimum to achieve the UL RSC rating. Behind the lock are both a hardplate and relocker that protect against drilling attacks and the sixteen 2″ solid steel locking bolts including top and bottom, keep the door secure during a saw attack. The Winchester Legacy 44 gun safe is UL RSC Burglary Rated for security and features a thicker 10 gauge steel door and body. There is no key override or Solenoid, it is 10 out of 10 on the lock. It operates smoothly and is very long lasting. It is one of three electronic lock brands I recommend with the other two being NL and SecuRam. This is UL Rated, an excellent quality lock that is very reliable and made by the oldest lock company in the world. Lockįirst and always most important of any gun safe is its lock and the Winchester Legacy 44 gun safe features the S&G electronic lock. In this review, I will help you understand just what makes the Legacy 44 such a great gun safe. The Winchester Legacy 44 Gun Safe is a nice upgrade from the Ranger series with 2″ locking bolts, the S&G electronic lock and more than double the fire protection. While I’m no fan of the TS gun safes, starting with the Ranger, these imported gun safes are actually pretty good. They sell nearly exclusively on Tractor Supply with the TS models making up the bulk of their sales. Worth Texas but has since gone back to fully importing all of their products from China. Winchester at one point was making nearly all of their gun safes in Ft.

His dark hair was swept to one side, like he’d just come from a walk on the beach. His sea-green eyes were as gorgeous as she remembered. Percy smiled at her-that sarcastic, troublemaker smile that had annoyed her for years but eventually had become endearing. Then someone else appeared from the crowd, and Annabeth’s vision tunneled. The Romans murmured Jason’s name, staring at him in awe. Annabeth’s friends fanned out on either side. She saw it every time she looked in a mirror. At Camp Half-Blood, most demigods were teens. Were all of them demigods? Annabeth suspected so, though she’d never seen a place like this. Annabeth saw couples with babies, toddlers clinging to their parents’ legs, even some elderly folks in a combination of Roman robes and modern clothes. Annabeth wondered if he was scratching his chin with imaginary hands. Options included an electric sunroof, leather bucket seats, power windows, power driver seat, and AM/FM stereo with CD player. Initial trim levels consisted of base and LS. This Lumina was also sold with police (code 9C3) and taxi packages after the Chevrolet Caprice was dropped after the 1996 model year. The LHO V6 was dropped in favor of the L82 V6, also known as the 3100 SFI. The Euro model was dropped, replaced by the LS trim. The Lumina received a major redesign for 1995, with the Monte Carlo name being resurrected for the 2-door version previously sold as the Lumina coupe, and slightly larger. The grille was also replaced with a body-colored panel with a small outlet, reminiscent of the Ford Taurus SHO. Unique cosmetic changes include a factory spoiler and body moldings, a louvered hood, and a unique steering wheel. The LQ1 could be had with either a four speed automatic or a bespoke five speed manual, the Getrag 284. Along with a performance suspension package, it was fitted with the 3.4 L DOHC LQ1 V6, putting out 210 hp at 5200 rpm and 215 lb The high performance version of the Lumina was the Lumina Z34 (coupe) and Euro 3.4 (sedan). The whereabouts of these test-cars remains unknown. The experimental "Z50" version as it was dubbed featured all-wheel-drive and an all aluminum 5.0 L 305ci LT1-style V8 which had 285 hp (213 kW) and 280 ft In 1987 however, GM was experimenting with a high end performance version above the Z34 to continue where the Z34 left off. Irate fans bombarded NASCAR with letters protesting the unfairness of Chevrolet being allowed to race an aluminum car. In 1989, the Lumina became the nameplate under which Chevrolets were raced in NASCAR, more than a year before the model was available to the public. The Chevrolet Lumina's first generation ended production in 1994, making this the shortest-lived generation of the first-generation GM W-body cars. Although the Lumina became a popular seller, GM was widely criticized in the motoring press for being late to the game in introducing a direct aero-designed competitor to the Ford Taurus. The North American Chevrolet Lumina was based on the mid-size GM W platform, which was shared with the Pontiac Grand Prix, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, Oldsmobile Intrigue, Buick Regal and Buick Century (after 1996). While the specific type of modifications performed during overhaul varied depending on the type of arm being rebuilt, the general practices were similar. After 1945, the mission of Springfield Armory changed from M1 manufacture to M1 overhaul, along with other types of small arms. Although such cursory repair work enabled the rifles to continue in service until hostilities ceased, it resulted in large numbers of them needing substantial repair and overhaul at the war’s end. Many M1s that would have been overhauled in peacetime were kept in action by the hardworking ordnance personnel in the field or at small base shops. Most repair and refurbishment was done by overseas ordnance shops due to the difficulty of shipping large numbers of arms from combat zones to the “Zone of the Interior” (continental United States). Generally, only the barrels, gas cylinders and stocks were changed, otherwise, the very early M1 rebuilds retained most of their original parts.Įven though Springfield Armory turned out large numbers of M1s during World War II, there was some limited overhaul of M1s during the active war. In late 1940 and early 1941, some of the earlier gas trap rifles were rebuilt by Springfield Armory and converted to gas port configuration. A number of very early M1s were modified at Springfield Armory to correct the deficiency.Ī couple of years later, the original gas system, dubbed the “gas trap,” was found to be faulty, and an improved “gas port” system was adopted. ![]() The production tooling was changed, and the issue quickly became a thing of the past. It was caused by improperly machined receivers. The first significant M1 overhaul occurred prior to 1941 when the so-called “Seventh Round Stoppage” problem arose. It has a modified operating rod, modified trigger housing pad, T105E1 rear sights and an “sa/shm” stock cartouche. This M1 rifle was rebuilt at Springfield Armory in 1947 and has a mixture of World War II and earlier parts. Rebuilding enabled worn or damaged rifles to be reclaimed and re-issued as essentially new guns. Whether carried in combat overseas or subjected to use by recruits in stateside training camps, virtually all M1s were eventually shipped to an ordnance facility for rebuild at some point, sometimes more than once. From its adoption in 1936 until production ceased in 1957, well over 5 million M1s were made, and the majority saw widespread service during World War II and the post-war era. military arms were manufactured in greater numbers or saw more extensive use than the venerable “U.S. If more extensive work was needed, the arms were sent to an arsenal or ordnance depot, usually in the United States, for overhaul, which was officially referred to as “Fifth Echelon Maintenance Responsibilities.”įew U.S. Such work was referred to as “Third or Fourth Echelon Maintenance Responsibilities” in Ordnance manuals. You couldn't do this before in Lightroom and it opens up the opportunity to select specific parts of your image based on colours and tonal range. ![]() The major tool update comes in the form of a new colour and luminance range mask which makes it easier to apply masks to specific areas. The way you can review images after import has also been improved so you can begin working on your photos faster, too. Moving from the Library to Development tab is an action Lightroom users do a lot and as a result, Adobe wanted to quicken this action even further and after going back-and-forth, opening different images, and we didn't experience any lag. Scrolling is smooth and responsive and so are editing tools. Adobe says it's now quicker to get into the software and load previews and in use, we have to agree that it is. We'll be taking a closer look at the new features in the performance section of the review.Īdobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC & Mobile (CC) PerformanceĪdobe has worked hard to quicken Lightroom up as its speed, or lack thereof, was a big bugbear for photographers. Tablet support is also now available for Android users. Other updates include the introduction of keyword support and hierarchical album support while those who use iOS will see support for iOS 11 files and a better layout on the iPad. There's also a HDR function that captures three DNG files to create one, well-balanced DNG RAW file. In the Classic version, photographers will be happy to hear that Adobe had worked on the speed at which the software reacts, there's a new colour and luminance range mask available so you can apply masks to more specific areas and noise reduction has been improved when using an auto mask.Īs for Lightroom CC, the editing panel has been reorganised, preset usability has been improved, there is a new search function (iOS) and the most interesting update is that you can open and edit RAW (DNG) files. Plus, everything is connected via the Cloud (what isn't nowadays) so your work is available across all devices but you can also work offline should you be in a location without WiFi. We've briefly mentioned the mobile version of Lightroom which is available on both Android and iOS and even though this version lacks some of the tools found in 'Classic' and 'CC', they're still really nifty apps for editing on the go. We actually have an introduction to the Lightroom workspace and a guide on importing photos which will explain things in more detail if you've not used the software before. You start by importing your photos into the Lightroom library which you can then sort, edit and export. It's also designed to be used alongside software that's specifically designed for photo editing such as Photoshop (hence why they're packaged together under the photography plan) so if you find you can't edit an image how you want to in Lightroom, you can move it into software that's designed to handle more complicated edits. There are a few tools available in the Classic version that the mobile app doesn't have, something we'll be talking about further into the review.Īn important note for those using Lightroom 6, new camera support for this will stop at the end of the year and from now on, Lightroom won't be available with the old-style 'perpetual licence' where you made a one-off payment and away you went.įor those who haven't used Lightroom before, it's an image cataloguing programme that you can also use to make photo edits. ![]() For those who prefer to save things locally don't worry the name change doesn't mean you suddenly have to use the cloud, like you do with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC, you can still create folders and manage things on your own computer. ![]() The name change just groups the Mac and Windows version under one umbrella with the cloud version of the software which is known as Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC. You can almost set your watch by Adobe's Lightroom update and here we are, two years later since the release of Lightroom 6 (we know Lightroom CC has had a few updates in between but we're talking about the desktop-only version), and we have a brand-new version waiting to be installed.Īdobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC & Mobile (CC) FeaturesĪs well as performance updates and tool enhancements, Adobe has changed the name of its popular desktop application so instead of having a number '7' after its name, you'll now know it as Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC. ![]() Shipping fees and delivery times vary depending on location, size and weight of the item(s) and is only available within the province of the Canadian Tire retail location (“Store”) from which the item(s) was purchased. Vehicles look pretty good in the garage, but on the road, lose a lot of their luster. Particularly at night, surfaces appear to be flat and lack lighting variation. Graphics on the whole have taken a noticeable dive compared to Project Cars 2. These tracks all race well, but lack the visual fidelity of the previous games. The track selection is excellent and features many Motorsport favorites such as Linden Hill, Monza, Nordschleife, and Daytona. Drifting should never be possible in an F1 car, but this was pulled off easily in Project Cars 3. For instance, F1 cars maintain their Kart-like ability to brake quickly and handle sharp turns, but have lost their tendency to lose traction when pushed past the limit. Because the intricacies of racing such as tire degradation and fuel management have been stripped from the experience, choosing which car to drive is more a matter of looks and minor handling changes. Formula 1 is largely neglected this time around, and things like Karting are non-existent. There is a clear focus on Road Cars, GT, and Rally vehicles. The vehicle selection on offer is large but less varied than in previous games. This means that players who use an H-Pattern gearbox to shift will often be left in the dust no matter how quickly they change gears. AI drivers also don't appear to change gears at all. When cars are driving three-wide all the way up the track, there is a problem. There were few races that featured less than twenty cars at once, and roads were often so narrow that there was rarely an option other than cutting corners, driving in the grass, or scraping into other drivers to gain positions. This causes there to be quite a few traffic jams because of an over-abundance of cars on the road. This is compounded by the fact that, in the campaign, players have no choice of how many cars they will be racing against. Whether driving Formula 1 or Super Trucks, all AI cars behave like they're in an unregulated street race. They rarely follow the expected rules of their various Motorsport associations, and will bash one another off of the track to get ahead. AI driven cars don't seem to be programmed to follow any sort of racing lines or maintain any illusion of professional driving. On the other hand, the Project Cars 3 AI needs quite a bit of work before it can compete with previous entries. A favorite vehicle can be modded to meet the criteria of almost every class, and thus can be taken nearly all the way through the campaign. It is also rewarding to be able to upgrade the starter car's class throughout the game. ![]() Managing upgrades to maximize output without stepping over the line into the next vehicle class was deeply entertaining. Racing and getting cash to buy a new vehicle for the upcoming class is a fun reward system that makes players want to keep going back to get their best time. Vehicles are broken into classes, and the campaign guides players up the ranks to more challenging vehicle types. They are encouraged to personalize the vehicle with colors, patterns, and even custom nameplates. Players get to choose a starting vehicle that is either Front, Rear, or All Wheel Drive. Each event feels well crafted and took a handful of tries to master perfectly. There is an emphasis on customizing vehicles and buying upgrades to make cars faster and better handled. The Career Mode campaign is the best we've seen in the series so far. |
